The Second Home Visa is a visa that is different from other visas. This visa places the country of Indonesia as a second home for foreign nationals.
According to Director General of Immigration Widodo Ekatjahjana, the second home visa is one type of entry and stay permit for foreigners for 5 or 10 years.
The Second Home Visa Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) rate is IDR 3 million, this is in accordance with the provisions in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 2 of 2022.
Later, payment of the second home visa PNBP rate can be made outside the territory of Indonesia through the available PNBP payment portal.
There are also requirements that must be met for Foreign Citizens to apply for this visa and this can be seen in full on the immigration *link. (https://www.imigrasi.go.id/en/visa-rumah-kedua/)
This Second Home Visa is suitable for foreign nationals who come as investors, tourists or who are retired. This Second Home Visa can also be applied to families, children, spouses and parents. Holders of second home visa status will be given a special queue line at Immigration checkpoints, such as at Batam Sea Port, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Ngurah Rai Bali, Kualanamu Medan, and Juanda Surabaya.
The existence of this Second Home Visa policy is expected to encourage the development of the property sector by making the visa an entry and stay permit facility for foreigners who are interested in owning property in Indonesia.
